A wonderful book, one of many my father had lying around the house when I was growing up; oddly humorous stuff about the war or the Great Depression,--strangely, comical--with Dear Gertrood warmer than most. It's full of wonderful cartoons, and it's really one long love letter from a lonely G.I. posted overseas to the girl he loves back home.5/5.
